Tiatr playwriting workshop soon

PANAJI: A seminar-cum-workshop on `tiatr' (Konkani play) script writing will be organised by the Kala Academy at its Black Box, on July 22.

The workshop will be held in three different sessions. Two tiatr scripts have been selected for discussion by a panel of experts and also open discussion by the participating artistes. In the first session, the script `Orth', written by Tomazinho Cardozo, will be discussed by a panel consisting of Felicio Cardozo, Roseferns and Pundalik Naik, and chaired by writer Uday Bhembre.

The second session will be on the script `Tevis Vorsam', written by John Claro Fernandes and the discussion panel includes Fr. Freddy D'Costa, Premanand Sangodkar and Prakash Thaly. The third session will be open, in which all the tiatr artistes,
script writers and technicians will interact. These workshops are the first of its kind to be held by the
Kala Academy.
