PHILLIP PEREIRA

PHILLIP PEREIRA hailing from Majorda remembers commencing his acting career at 11-years of age, initially playing a girl's role on-stage and thereafter shifting to comedy and had to say Peter de Colva's encouragement played a major role for his being where he is today.

Philip mentioned about he being a fun loving person and with a humorous glint in his eyes coupled with a mischievous grin on his face, it seems as if playing humorous roles come naturally to him.

Phillip mentioned about not directing any of his own dramas so far, but gave a list of directors under whom he has worked
which include Anthony San, Bab Peter, Patrick Dourado, John Claro, Roseferns, A.M. Pacheco, Rosario Rodrigues, Menin de Bandar & Pascoal Rodrigues in whose drama "Tinn Kidde", it seems he did about 25-shows.

Having come to Kuwait and acting whenever he got an opportunity to do so, Phillip had to say that his favourite role was the comedian's role that he played alongwith Domnic in Jose Rod's drama "Mauli".

Having recently acted in 'Tujen Naum Vhodd Zaum', wherein he teamed up with comedians Ben, Domnic, Luis, Mario & Josephine Dias, Phillip mentioned of his plans to stage a musical show sometime in February of 2001 at Kuwait.
