Patrick Fernandes from Verna, a quiet person, a man with not much airs about himself, who lets his acting do the talking for him, mentioned about commencing acting professionally during his school days, when he first acted in Rosario Dias's drama "CLEOPATRA". Thereafter, Patrick recalls playing lead roles and singing opening choruses in many dramas.

Starting with "THAPOTT", Patrick mentioned about acting in about 14-of Roseferns's dramas from 1980 to 1985, other directors that Patrick has acted for are Prince Jacob, Jose Rod, Patrick Dourado, Rosary Ferns and Ligorio Fernandes.
Besides acting Patrick has also sung in Konkanni tapes produced by other artistes.

Amongst all dramas, he considers Roseferns's drama "DEV VO DEVCHAR" as the best and about his co-stars said he considered Prince Jacob as the best director and Felcy as his favourite actress based on her acting abilities.

When queried if he had produced any of his own dramas, Patrick mentioned about not being able to do so, so far but stated that he has plans to keep on acting and being on the stage.

Patrick's presently based in Kuwait having come out here in 1986 and his recent performance was in the drama "Tujem Naum Vhodd Zaum", wherein he put in quite an outstanding performance as "Anton Bab".

Patrick hoped that the Konkanni stage does not die off and wished the new and upcoming artistes, the very best.
