Jacob from Fatorda, Goa, who is called by his royal moniker of "Prince", a simple, down to earth and straight forward person, who with his brand of comedy of a slap stick nature has brought peals of laughter to a lot of people, thereby relieving their tensions and calls himself the Doctor of Laughter for administering his remedy called Hilarity.
Meeting with Prince Jacob, he spoke of his dream, his performance in Kuwait and also had a request to make of the Konkanni drama fans, so that our culture can be kept alive.
He requested the konkanni drama fans to encourage the upcoming artistes, thereby paving the way for them to take over from the established stars, as he already has made his way on-stage, judging by his track record of staging 25-successful dramas, all commencing with the letter "P" and now he is into his 29th production entitled ROSTO.
Besides his acting he spoke of his current activities, one of which is serving as a Council Member for "Kala-Academy" and another organisation of Art & Culture (which deals in the administration of stipends for artistes who have crossed 60-years of age).
He also spoke of the lack of support on the Goa Government's part for the dramatists and about his performance at KHK's show in Kuwait, wherein he shall be singing a song called "Azeel" (Home for the aged), together with a live projection on stage.
He spoke of his dream of producing a movie in Konkani with Goan and Mangalorean stage artistes, but he had to say that this project could take a long time to be realized as this project is budgeted somewhere in the region of 20 lakh Rupees, which Prince Jacob, feels that this type of finance could be quite tough to be had and hoped that business personalities and other sponsors from the Goan and Mangalorean communities, would come forward and sponsor this project.
