LUIS DIAS from Arlem, Raia, Son of the late Aristides Dias, recalls first acting as a Child artiste at 7-years of age in his Father's tiatra 'Koidi' and later on in 'Doulot' & 'Dev Nit'.

Luis remembers the encouragement his Father accorded to him and when queried the reason for his becoming a comedian he mentioned that he used to play practical jokes on his friends and also being a jovial person, it seems he took to playing comedy roles with his first professional role as a comedian being in Aristides's tiatra 'DISPOTTO' with M. Boyer and also recalls playing female roles on-stage and being well accepted in the same.

Luis mentioned about acting with Roseferns for about 5-years and had to say that the scene on stage now has changed a lot compared to what  it was it was in the past in terms of stage settings, etc.

Speaking about his Father, Aristides Dias, who he lost in 1991 at 63, Luis considers him as one of the top artistes of his time who was very good in writing and composing and according to Luis, his Father's tiatr, "DIVORCE" was the first to cross the century mark, sometime in the mid-seventies.

Luis mentioned about himself re-making & staging 'Divorce' about 5-years back and had to say that he possibly might stage the same yet again. He also has plans to stage the 100th show of 'DOYA' of which his Father had staged 98-shows and Luis the 99th Show.

In the re-making of these tiatras Luis stated that the comprehensive diary or log that his father maintained of dialogues, play contents, etc. were of an immense help to him and gave him an insight as to his Father's work and talents.

Presently working full time in Qatar, Luis mentioned about winning the singing competition seven times out there and had to say that he was instrumental in getting Lorna to the Gulf for the first time.

About his family, married & with a daughter, Luis mentioned about coming from a family of 5-brothers and 1-Sister and about one of his brothers Adrian being a very talented footballer having played in Goa's first division league and for Goa also.

M. Boyer being one of his favourite artistes, Luis recently in Jose Rod's drama 'Tujem Naum Vhodd Zaum' imitated M. Boyer, in attire, vocals, etc. and in this drama, he together with Comedians Domnic, Ben, Mario and Josephine Dias contributed to the humor in the drama.

Luis mentioned of his plans of having his own production shortly, which he claims is almost ready.
