LUCIANO DIAS.

Luciano Dias (born on 01st April, 1933, residing at Arlem, Raia) mentioned about his first singing at his village concerts and
recalled of when at 12-years of age having come across a song lyric (only one verse and chorus penned by his Brother, Aristides Dias) he added further verses for the same and kept it back.

Aristides coming to know that Luciano was responsible for completion of the song requested him to sing same and Luciano had to say that this was how he managed to get his break on the Konkanni stage and continues to be on it.

Luciano spoke about acting as a Girl in Alexinho de Candolim's tiatr 'To Bhautto Dhormacho" due to a dearth of Girls acting on the stag at that time. He also remembers the late Mr. Souza Ferrao, for giving him tips & ideas to compose songs after seeing Luciano's performances.

Luciano mentioned about acting in "Bhavarth Bhorvansancho Mog", "Patkachi Savlli" and "Bevisvasi" and amongst all the tiatrs, he favours "Khoxe Bhair Kazar" and "Patkachi" Savlli", over the others.

Amongst the directors he holds Souzalin, Alexinho de Candolim, M. Boyer, C. Alvares, Aristides Dias, Remy Colaco and Prem Kumar in high regards.

Luciano acknowledged and appreciated :-

C. Alvares, Young Menezes, Alexin de Candolim, M. Boyer, Conception, Souza Ferrao, Master Vaz, Anthony Mendes, Kid Boxer, Minguel Rod and others, amongst the actors, and Shalini, Miss Mona, Ophelia, Sabine (Comedian Greg's Wife), Platilda, Antonette mendes, Jessy, Betty Ferns, Betty Naz, Josephine and others, amongst the actresses.

Luciano mentioned about getting married in 1961 from which 5-kids ensued (3-boys & 2-girls) and also mentioned about one of his Sons tragically meeting his end in a road accident while returning from a tiatr's rehearsal.

Luciano mentioned producing his own audio album "Somaz Bodolta" in 1998 and has plans to produce another one in the near future.
