Artistes get State Awards

Ten Goan luminaries in the fields of art and culture received the State Cultural Awards at the hands of chief minister Pratapsingh Rane in the presence of
Speaker Tomazinho Cardozo at a glittering function held at the Kala Academyrecently. Chandrakant Keni and Jairam Pandurang Kamat (literature), M G Mhamai and
Nagesh K D Kudnekar (craft), Anant S Naik and Krishna B Mashelkar (music), Hermengildo Camilo alias H Britton (seen above) and Narcinva B Naik (drama),
Chandrakant L Parsekar (folk art) and Arun D Parwatkat (photography), each got a cash prize of Rs 5000, a replica of Natraj, a certificate, shawl and shrifal.
