Conversed with Anil Kumar (a script Writer, Producer, Director, T.V., Film & Stage - Artise) after his tiatr "Divea Pondak"
(in December, 2000), which he mentioned as dedicating specially to Fatima for her completion of 25-years on the Konkanni Stage.

Anil recalled starting his acting career in the late sixties in the Khell Tiatr "Tin Tembe" (in 1969) and mentioned about Prem Kumar giving him a chance in his professional tiatr "Ordi Bakri" in the late seventies.

Having wrote, produced & directerd 17-tiatras, Anil also has 3-audio albums namely 'Kamdar', 'Anifa' & 'Fullancho Churo', to his credit.

Anil mentioned about acting with all of the topmost directors like the late C. Alvares, late Jacint Vaz, M. Boyer, Prem Kumar,
Joe Rose, Alfred Rose and Remy Colaco.

Anil's other accomplishments, include :-

- Acting in a Marathi movie.
- Also acting in a hindi movie 'Laxman Rekha' produced by Kundan Shah.

- Producing 3-Konkanni serials for Doordarshan, namely :-
  'Ekuch Rogot', 'Suttka' and 'Nirmonn'.

- Scripting & dialoguing Konkanni video films
  'Zababdari' and 'To Dis Udelo' (for which an award was received).

Speaking on the Konkanni tiatr, Anil mentioned that it was slowly dying off due to high costs involved in staging the same and the lack of Government support for art & culture. He also mentioned about his present tiatr being of high budget as he had to bring in artistes from Mumbai.

Anil mentioned that he was one of the last few directors who has kept on writing Konkanni tiatras and mentioned of his plans to direct a Konkanni feature film and stage a non-stop drama as well.
