Varca edge out Raia to win Dubai Goan Soccer
Varca defeated Raia 2-0 to win the Dubal Reseidential cup organized by Dubal
Goans and played at Dubal ground Dubai, UAE. Robin Braganza who was in full
flow and was rightly judged as the player of the tournament scored two
spectacular goals in the finals. Varca on their way to the finals drew with
Curtorim and Utorda, Defeated siolim by 2-0 where Robin and Edwin scored one
each and in the semi-finals they defeated arch rivals Benaulim by 2-0
comming from the boots of Edwin and Alex. Captain of the Varca team, Peter
was of full praises for his boys for their hard work and discipline on the
field, while the manager of the Varca team Domnic said " the boys really put
up a good show and i predicted right from the start that we are going to win
as all the players are in good nick and all set for the comming football
season in Dubai."
