REMO in the Caribbean & U.S. :
JAMAICA.

Remo Fernandes, scheduled for a 2-month tour of the Caribbean and the U.S., left
Goa after Easter via London-Heathrow, Miami and then on to Jamaica.
As per the recent details provided by Remo from Trinidad about his time in
Jamaica, he considers Jamaica a fascinating place and mentioned touring the
island extensively including the Bob Marley & Reggae - Museums, besides other
places.
On the musical front, Remo, mentioned about doing great recordings with
producers like Mikie Bennett in Kingston [who records Ziggy Marley, etc], and
Barry O'Hare in Ocho Rios [Grammy winner for Best Recording Engineer on "Burning
Spear" album], and with some top Jamaican DJ/Rap/Dance-Hall artists like G-Blunt
and Wippa Demus and also jamming up with the legendary Jamaican guitar player
Dwight Pinkney.
Other activities included :-
- Attending and filming the Jamaican Carnival (comparing the Goan & Jamaican -
carnivals, had to say that ours was like a church procession).
- Attending the Passa Passa parties.
- Accompanying the Dance Hall Queen on her round of performances last
week.
- Giving a lecture-demonstration on his music at the Jamaican School of Music,
Kingston.
Having just landed in Trinidad, he was supposed to go to the rehearsal of the
top Steel Drum Band in the evening.
