Kevin D’mello; (Siolim) is a vet working with the IAR (International Animal Rescue) for over five years. He completed his post graduation studies in Bombay, and later started a clinic of his own there. But he soon moved to Goa the reason being his wish to work with stray animals. This he says is his way of giving something back to society.

Some of his freaky experiences; once while trying to inject a bull, the animal kicked his hand. The syringe pierced his nail and came out on the other side of his thumb. Another time while inspecting a dog’s eye (under the impression given by the owner that the dog was friendly) the dog snapped at his face and bit his eyelid.  Phone; 9822161749

Elvis lobo (Saligao); I remember Elvis in higher secondary Xavier’s as being one of the few guys who used to bunk college not to go for a smoke, but to go home and practise his guitar instead. Today he has the distinction of being one of the finest guitar players in Goa. After completing his twelfth standard he quit college to play for a local rock band called ‘Flesh and Blood’. He then moved to Delhi where he played in a jazz band for 2 years. Thereafter he joined one of Bombay’s leading bands that goes by the name of ‘Aqua flow’. Keith fernandes; (Mapusa-Canca) one of the co founders of slip disc (“An association of advertising professionals with back problems” laughs Keith). Though Keith has a marketing and sales background and career, his passion has always been music and promoting it. This year he plans to promote only live bands, that too mostly new bands that are coming up. ‘Every one is fed up with bands that play programmed and sequenced stuff’ he explains. Slip disc gives them the extremes – either DJ’s or pure live bands.
