This is to introduce ourselves. Insaf is a NGO (non-governmental organisation), which acts as a forum for some 250 organisations across India. Insaf's local office in Panjim is located at 3rd Floor, Mahalaxmi Housing Society, Near Hotel Palacio de Goa, Sant Inez, Panjim, Goa. In Goa, we are involved with studies on tourism, village-resource mapping, studies on child sex abuse and other issues. Spectrum, which is our sister-concern, is involved in documentation on various issues concerning Goa, some 23 issues in all. Some of the prominent subject-themes we are studying include agriculture, alternatives, SAP (structural-adjustment programmes), etc. We are also planning to set up village-information centres, wherein documentation is to be used as a medium for action. In the past Insaf was involved in supporting the anti-Nylon 6,6 campaign, and environmental issues (including fisheries and tourism). We welcome contacts interested in similar fields.
