In 1992 a few people hailing from the Goan Village of Chinchinim came together and formed the Cultural & Recreation Club of Chinchinim (Kuwait). Initially starting with a few members, the membership of the Club grew rapidly, but the permanent membership is restricted to Villagers of Chinchinim only. The Club is registered with the Indian Embassy in Kuwait and the Kuwait India Football Federation.
Its main activities are to provide assistance to welfare projects in Chinchinim and to other institutions in Goa.
Besides organizing a 9-a-side soccer tournament, the CRC's team also participates in the various football tournaments held at the local Soor grounds.
In the first week of December to usher in the spirit of the X'mas season, CRC holds its annual Fiesta.
It has also instituted a Scholarship for a student topping at the Xth Standard examination in Chinchinim.
