The San Minguel cultural festival at Navelim, Salcette attracted large crowd of around 4000 people consisting mainly the youth on 18 November 2000.

It was a Saturday evening and hence the youth had come out in full strength to enjoy the penultimate day of this grand San Minguel festival at Navelim grounds.

In the beginning, there was the popular band True Colours laced with dancers from the group ‘Fascinating Moves” followed by the Konkani artist ‘Ben Evangelisto’ and his group who received a  tremendous response.
 
The audience was also enthralled by the local dancers from Margao namely ‘The Reflexes’ led by Mr Neil Barretto, who gave two fine western dance performances.

Then came the group whom everyone had come to watch and hear viz the legendary ‘Syndicate’ whose numbers were appaluded by one and all.

Later, Edwin, India’s leading guitarist and singer took the centre stage accompanied by Don, the well known rapper from Canada (both Goans) who kept the crowd rocking to their scintillating numbers.

This was followed by ‘Femme Fattale’ the fashion show troupe with their sizzling models who displayed a few good fashion trends leaving the crowd breathless.

Also, the ‘Diamond’ orchestra sent in motion all the lovers of Hindi pop music with their heart throbbing oschestration.
