Portuguese-Konkani album released

PANAJI: An exciting album featuring nostalgic Konkani-Portuguese melodies, produced and promoted by Cidade da Goa with the Cotta Quartet was released by the ex-chief Minister and the leader of the Opposition Francisco Sardinha at a
function held at Sala de Banquette on 8 November.

The guest of honour Dr Maurice Loveday and the Managing Director of Cidade de Goa, Anju Timblo, the Consul General
of Portugal Dr Vera Fernandes were among the dignitaries and special invitees present during the release.

In his address, after releasing the CD, Sardinha congratulated Cidade de Goa and the Cotta family for bringing out
this lovely rendering, for the listening pleasure of music loving Goans.

Recounting his musical days, he lauded the musicals family for taking their first step forward in producing their maiden album, which he felt, would be appreciated by the people who enjoyed Konkani-Portuguese Music.

Timblo in her address reiterated the hotels endeavour to promote genuine talents in the field of art, music and culture.
