Choral Symphony strives in making strong efforts to revive this glorious past of
western classical music and to promote and enrich the music of the soil.
The Goa Choral Symphony consists mostly of young dedicated personalities of
around 30 strong comprising of young school/ college going students and
professionally employed youth. Many young talents are tapped and encouraged to
learn to realize their potential.
The Goa Choral Symphony is now a well-known name in the field of western
classical music with the organisation and participation of various music
concerts to its credit.
The first concert being 'Vande Mataram' held on the 21st of December 1997
commemorating 50 years of India's Independence. Its success led the group to
organise another concert called 'My Creation' on the 25th of November 1998 which
received great acclaim. The Goa Choral Symphony's fame soon spread far and wide
and the group was invited to perform for various cultural music festivals all
over India. The Goa Choral Symphony gave a stunning performance on its
invitational tour to Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh in December 1998. Recently, the
Goa Choral Symphony again entertained the audience as guest performers in 'Festa
da Musica' organized by Fundação Oriente celebrating 5 years of its existence
in India.
The forthcoming concert entitled 'Sounds of Music' scheduled for the 15th of
September 2000 promises to be a blockbuster. The concert will feature a wide
range of choral music covering classical, semi-classical, traditional Goan and
