Fundacao Oriente: 5 years in India

PANAJI: A photographic and documentary exhibition on the cultural activities
developed in India and principally in Goa by the Fundacao Oriente during the
last 5 years in currently on display at the delegation at Fontainhas,
Panjim. The Fundacao Oriente was established in India since 1995 with the
permission of the Government of India and operates under the guidelines laid
down by the Indian Council for cultural relations, the central government
agency that regulates the activities of foreign cultural institutions in
India.

The aim of this exhibition is to show to the Goan public a synthesis of the
organisation, the description of its cultural programs and its activities in
fields of conservation and restoration of heritage, exhibitions, performing
arts, scholarships, editing of books, prizes, conferences and courses,
cooperation with different institutions and others.

Visitors can appreciate photos on works done, books published, poster
printed and other information.

The exhibition can be visited till 12 May from 10 to 1 pm and from 3 to 6
pm.
