3 tiny tots swim across Mandovi River
The Times of India News Service-

PANAJI: The younger they come, the harder they swim. Three kids, all
aged four, swam across the Mandovi River from Diwar Island to Ribandar,
all within a span of 25 minutes.

Jeremy Botelho, a student of Red Rosary Elementary School, Miramar, and
Ishan Remedios and Saloni Sardessai, both students of Sharada Mandir,
Miramar, were cheered as they surfaced at the finish point, accompanied
by two of their three coaches Michael Fernandes and Santan Fernandes and
Vivina Fernandes, who trained them for just three weeks.

While Jeremy clocked 20 minutes, the other two followed five minutes
later.

In another similar feat, 5-year-old Aishwarya Chowdhary and Abhinay
Chodankar, also performed a similar feat, by swimming from Old Goa jetty
to the steamer jetty at Panaji. Incidentally, Aishwarya is not new to
this kind of rigour, as she had crossed the river from Panaji to Betim
when she was just two-and-a-half-years-old.
