St. Anne's feast is celebrated in many places in Goa but it's one of the favorite feasts in the South.

As mentioned earlier in one of my articles, we just need an excuse to celebrate a litany and St. Anne's feast is not an exception.  At the end of a litany, the elderly person who usually conducts prayers asks the host if he/she would like him to say additional prayers to any saint or for any particular intention.  If the host asks him to say a special prayer to St. Anne, it means the litany was a thanksgiving to her.  Once the intention is known, the person says special prayers at the end of which the violinist plays the tune and everyone sings the following hymn:

Sant Anni Saibinni, tum amchi ranni
Visronakai mae, amchim magnnim
Sant Anni Saibinni, tum amchi ranni
Visronakai mae, amchim magnnim

Vinoti kor mae, tujea puta laguim
Mellon gheuncheak ami, sorginchim dennim
Vinoti kor mae, tujea puta laguim
Mellon gheuncheak ami, sorginchim dennim

This hymn is sung in any female saint's name.  All you do is replace the
first three words in the first line.  It is also sung at the end of feast
mass of Advogad Saibinn, Perpet Sucor Saibinn, Saud Saibinn, etc.
